SKODA KAROQ: an SUV that ticks all the right boxes

WHEN Skoda binned its popular Yeti model in favour of the Karoq, caravanners up and down the country donned black armbands and took a moment or two to mark its passing.

What had been a decent towcar for their weekend jaunts was no more, but actually they needn’t have worried – the car that replaced it was more than up to the task. And the proof of that is in the fact it’s just driven off with the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s title of Towcar of the Year, leaving a whole host of worthy competitors in its rear view mirror. SKODA KODIAQ: A car that bears close inspection….


ANYONE with any interest in the natural world will know that the Kodiak is, to put it succinctly, a ruddy great bear.

There’s also another one around, with considerably less fur and less likely to bite you on the bum.

Skoda – who have had something of a penchant for exotic animal names in the past (remember Yeti?) have updated their very own ‘Kodiaq’ – and it’s a car that bears (!) close scrutiny. Continue reading
